To test EvA quickly and easily:

• Simply install EvA on a PC with :
  • Windows XP or 2000 Professional
  • and Outlook XP or Outlook 2000 (without SR1 or later) with CDO library (optional in the Outlook setup)
    (do not use Outlook 2003)
• Use the Exchange Administrator account / mailbox / Outlook profile to run the EvA Service, Access the Active Directory / Exchange Server, ...

Before installing EvA 2000 on a server:

• You may have to install some Microsoft libraries EvA 2000 uses to access Exchange, the Active Directory and the databases: check the requirements
• If you have Outlook XP or 2000 SR1 or later on the EvA 2000 Server, programmatic access to Outlook is restricted: you'll have to install and set Up the Outlook Security Settings Folder.

Last but Not Least, before sending eMails to a Distribution List, always restrict users allowed to use it. If you don't do that, any contact in the list may REply to all your Distribution List, for instance. A nightmare ...
